Many of you let me know how much you enjoyed the VLOG “A Day At The Races Part 1” which mainly focused on my time spent with the NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle class during the 2015 Keystone Nationals in Reading PA. It was an honor for me to bring you behind the scenes at an NHRA drag race with some of my racing family. Sometimes it’s hard for me to believe that I actually raced motorcycles for over 20 years. Part 2 of A Day At The Races is all about Antron Brown, 2012 & recently crowned 2015 NHRA Top Fuel Champion.
I first met Antron back in 1997 at Atco Raceway in NJ. His cousin Troy Vincent, who was a star cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles had assembled a race team and hired Antron to be his rider. Like any rookie, Ant was rough around the edges, but his raw determination to be successful was clearly evident. In 1998, his first year of competition, he finished #7 in the championship points chase. In 1999 he won his first race. For the next 9 years he would consistently finish in the top 10, win 16 races and make a name for himself as one of the most beloved and admired racers in all of NHRA. In 2008 Antron Brown made a successful transition into Top Fuel as the driver of the Don Schumacher Racing Matco Tools dragster. Since that time he has 38 wins and 2 Top Fuel championships to his credit.
Please enjoy this rare glimpse into the world of a man who I am proud to call my friend & brother, Antron Brown, 2012 & 2015 NHRA Top Fuel Champion. Please be sure to sign up and follow my blog.
